Integrative Physical Therapy
Integrative Physical Therapy
Integrative physical therapy is a unique approach to orthopedic physical therapy, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions and issues. It takes a whole body approach to identify and treat the sources of your problems, not just the symptoms.
Treatment begins with a detailed evaluation to identify your problems. Your physical therapist will then create and carry out a specific care plan designed to restore optimal function and reduce potential for further injury, using manual therapy techniques, corrective exercises, education, stretching, energy work, osteopathic techniques, zero balancing, and a uniquely tailored home program of self care strategies.
At Stepping Stone, we are fortunate to partner with Leslee Olender and Balanced PT to provide these integrative physical therapy services to patients ages 8 and above. Each session is forty to fifty minutes, one on one, with a licensed and experienced physical therapist who is highly trained in manual therapy, functional assessment, and exercise prescription.
Balanced PT commonly sees patients for:
Back and neck pain
Sprains and strains
Shoulder disfunctions, including rotation cuff injuries, tendonitis, bursitis
Knee pain
Ankle injuries
Plantar fascitis
Pre and Post operative surgical care
Sciatica
Injuries specific to cycling, equestrians, yoga practitioners and dancers.
