Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching
A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness authority helping clients feel their best through food and lifestyle changes by tailoring an individualized program to meet their needs. Through a series of coaching sessions, clients learn how to nourish themselves from the inside out using whole foods, natural healing techniques and mindful living; they leave empowered to take ownership and control of their health. Recognizing that everyone is different, your practitioner will take the time to listen to your concerns and develop a unique program that works best to nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
Below are some concepts that will be explored during the individual sessions:
Bio-individuality™: The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food may be another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, your coach will support you in making positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background.
Primary Food™: It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are some of the essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary.
Integrative Nutrition™ Plate: The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that that help to facilitate optimal health: relationships, career, physical activity and spirituality.
What to expect during your health coaching sessions:
Your health history is discussed along with any current issues, food preferences, as well as your challenges and goals. Your unique lifestyle needs and desires are also taken into account, including schedule, family structure, skills, values and beliefs regarding food and healthy living.
Together the coach and client create a customized health and nutrition plan. We do not prescribe or endorse any particular diet because every single one of us is complex and different with unique lives, needs and bodies. We work with you every step of the way to develop a customized plan to provide you with the structure and guidance to reach your goals. Your coach may also provide you with recipe ideas, shopping advice, restaurant guidance, and lifestyle resources to optimize your personal nutrition program.
Follow-up appointments provide you with valuable time to “check-in”. Discussions will include how you are doing on your plan, making any adjustments, answering questions and setting new goals. These visits are all about you, getting the guidance and motivation you need to succeed. Always remember, it’s about progress not perfection and the journey to better health is never a straight line.

This is our signature Health Coaching program, and includes two 50-minute sessions per month with our Health Coach. The Transformation Program is focused on optimizing your food and lifestyle behaviors to get you into your healthiest possible state of being.
