Health for the Female Reproductive System - from Menses to Menopause
a 5 Class Series

Our live online classes will kick off this fall with a 5 part series on health topics for women on all stages of their journey: from the onset of her menstrual cycle to the arrival of menopause, and every step in between. The series will culminate with a workshop focusing on Your Abdominal Massage (aka "YAM"), the hands-on technique taught by our Abdominal Therapy practitioners. These classes focus on bringing lifelong health and wellbeing to your abdomen and pelvis from the comfort of home.

Part 1 - Health Class Done Right - All About Menstruation for Teens and Parents. This class is designed for preteen through teen years, to introduce them to their changing bodies. Class price is for a teen and their parent/guardian to attend together, although teens are welcome to attend alone if they prefer, with parental permission. (Same price.) This class will be held Wednesday, October 6th, 7:00-8:30 pm.

Part 2 - Boosting Your Fertility. Details coming soon! The first class will be Wednesday October 27th, followed by an additional class in November.

Part 3 - Having a Healthy Pregnancy. Details and Date TBA

Part 4 - Perimenopause and Menopause Onset and Journey. Details and Date TBA

Part 5 - YAM (Your Abdominal Massage) class from the Abdominal Therapy Institute. Details and Date TBA

These 5 classes feature Marcie Bower, Marcie Troisi, Erica Grossman, and Marissa Farrell as your instructors. Each class may also have an additional guest teacher from a complementary modality to provide additional information and guidance on the topic.

Each class is standalone and may be taken individually.

All participants in the first 4 classes will receive a discount to attend the final Your Abdominal Massage (YAM) workshop.

All classes welcome trans and non-binary folks.

Health Class Done Right - All About Menstruation for Teens and Parents

"My jeans don't fit during that time of the month, what the heck is going on inside my belly?"

"Why do I feel cramps? How can I make them hurt less?"

"How come my digestion gets so weird when I get my period?"

We'll be answering all these questions and more during our Health Class Done Right- All About Menstruation for Teens (and Parents)!

Learn how your uterus works, why we even get our periods, and how we can make each month more tolerable (maybe even painless!) for ourselves (and everyone living with us).

This class is designed for older preteens through teenagers, with a trusted parent or guardian in attendance, though older teens are welcome to attend on their own if preferred (with parental permission.) We will be covering various topics including the use of different types of menstrual products to birth control and its effects on the body, as well as good nutrition and self care during the preteen and teen years. Plenty of Q&A time will be scattered throughout the class, including space for anonymous questions.
