A native of Costa Rica, Gerly has over 18 years experience working and interacting with people in a variety of roles. When life brought her to the Boston area, she decided to use this change to explore a longstanding interest in massage therapy. Upon entering the Cortiva Massage Institute in Boston, she discovered a fundamental understanding of the body's needs, which she was able to enhance through formal study.

Gerly understands that healing is a holistic process and is thrilled to use her knowledge and intuition as a massage therapist as an integral part. She enjoys partnering with each patient, listening to what they say as well as what their bodies communicate, to create an individualized treatment plan that will help promote balance and wellness within.

She is a strong believer in complementing therapy through self-care at home. In her sessions she combines a range of modalities, including Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial Release, to create a focused yet nurturing and fluid healing experience.

Gerly is also discovering a growing passion for pre and post natal massage. As a mother of three young daughters, she understands first-hand what one experiences both physically and emotionally, and is thrilled to offer her soothing touch as a calming element during this wonderful transformation.

She looks forward to continually building her knowledge and refining her technique through workshops and additional course offerings. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association and is excited to be an integral part of the Stepping Stone team.
